Summer is here!

Memorial Day Weekend 2011

We invited everyone to hang out at the farm this weekend. This was the first trip out to the farm this spring. It has been too rainy and wet to go out there. The boys had so much fun fishing. And everyone had fun watching them fish. All four kids have become very good fishermen. Now if they could learn to take the fish off the hook we would be in great shape.

This is our last year with a child at FCDC. Both Evan and Logan spent two years there. They both had very loving and caring teachers. The FCDC has a great program and a wonderful staff. The boys will always have fond memories of preschool.

The sod was delivered Saturday morning. By the time I got home from my "mother's day lunch" I had a new yard. We have wanted a nice yard for a very long time. I'm really excited that we were able to get an instant yard by laying sod. I don't think I could have waited all spring for seed to grow with a neighborhood full of boys.



Reuben used a power rake to finish leveling the ground to be ready for the sod.




I am so grateful for all the people that help us complete this large project. It's amazing that we, with everyone's help, got this done in three days. David helped Reuben with the trench and sealing the foundation on Thursday. Thursday night and Friday, Aaron helped load and unload all of the debris and spread top soil. Uncle Gill helped repair our phone line and run the power rake to help level the ground on Friday. On Saturday dad, mom, Riley, and Mo helped Reuben lay the sod.

Now it's going to be up to us to water, water, water to make sure we maintain this beautiful yard.

Fixing the crack? Fingers Crossed

We have been waiting over a month now for some dry weather so that Reuben could try to fix our basement leak. He rented the "digger" and began digging. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Reuben is successful in fixing our leak.:)Reuben also wanted to redo the front yard. So he decided to just scrape it off and start all over.
