My 34th birthday

I had a wonderful birthday this year. A family friend, Barb Watson volunteered to make dinner for the whole family. Lindsey and the kids surprised me and came up after they got home from school. And Reuben came home after being in Columbus all week for work.

Reuben surprised me with a new pair of shoes. The first day I wore my new shoes I noticed everyone that I walked by was looking down at my feet. My students at school thought they were pretty cool.

Wisconsin trip

We went to Wisconsin over Labor Day weekend. There were two big events for the family. Aunt Jean celebrated her 80th birthday and Max Felsheim got married.



This is the cemetery where Grandma Helen is buried.





Reuben's cousin Max Felsheim got married on the bluffs. The farm we were on had a beautiful view of the river. The moment the wedding was over it poured buckets of rain. I didn't get any more pictures because of the bad weather.

First Day of School

Logan is excited to be in kindergarten even though his face doesn't show it in this picture.

Dawn and Aaron had Preston in July shortly after Lindsey had Bradley.

Camping at the farm

We went out to the farm for one more camp out before school started again. I talked Lindsey and her family into going with us.

Friends

Our neighbors became fast friends when they moved here three years ago. Mohamed, Lily and Shakeel are a wonderful family that we all have enjoyed getting to know. Mohamed is in the Army. So their family moves often. They are now heading to Utah.

We shared birthdays and other celebrations together. We mostly enjoyed sitting around a bonfire listening to each others stories. It won't be the same without them.
