Aunt Jean's Farm

We had a fabulous day at Aunt Jean's farm. We had lunch first and then enjoyed homemade blueberry pie. Aunt Jean makes the best pie. The boys had fun swimming with cousin Tommy. Aunt Mary bought fireworks with parachutes in them. We all ran around trying to catch the parachutes before they hit the ground. A couple ended up in the corn fields. The boys also got to fly their kites. The day was cool and breezy. Logan was great at flying his kite. Evan's kite had a little trouble. It wasn't designed very well.

Corn Field

Mema is great at finding adorable places to take the kids pictures. The boys had fun getting in the corn to take these pictures. Although Evan actually cut a little cut on his lip from the leaves on the corn stock.

Uncle Randy's Cabin

Reuben's Uncle Randy is building this cabin himself. It is absolutely beautiful. It is one large room on the first floor that has a kitchen, bathroom and family room. Then it has a loft for the master bedroom. It also has a basement that will be mostly finished with another bedroom. The fireplace is made of natural stone from floor to ceiling. The cabin sits on a hillside with the most incredible view. I'm sure he can't wait to complete the cabin and move in.

The Children's Museum

Aunt Mary took us to the children's museum. Everyone had fun watching the boys play or played around themselves. Aunt Mary, Tommy, Rosemary and her boyfriend Patrick were all there. We all loved playing with the red "needles" that pushed through a glass when you pressed on them. We all took a turn pressing our face into it.

Slip-N-Slide

The boys loved playing on the slip-n-slide. I can't believe Aunt Mary, Debbie and I all took turns going down the slide. I think we were lucky that no one got injured. We also had fun spraying each other with squirt guns. Papa is ruthless when involved in a squirt gun fight. He always seems to get you in the face.

Root-beer stand

The boys loved going to the root beer stand. I think its called Rudy's. They had these cute little mugs for kids. The boys liked saying cheers and clinking their mugs.

Wisconsin Road Trip

We are getting ready to take another trip. This time we are heading to Wisconsin. We will be going with Debbie and David. We are excited to visit with Reuben's extended family. The boys were very well behaved on our trip to Florida this summer. So I expect this road trip to go just as smoothly. Every morning the boys wake up and say, "Are we leaving today?".

I have been doing laundry, running errands, and gathering up the things we need on our trip. I am sad that we are leaving Reuben behind. I know he will miss us. But I'm sure he will enjoy his free time to go golfing.

I'm sure I will have lots of pictures to share when we get back. Hopefully we'll get to see the chickens at the farm and lots of family, and of course we will visit the Silver Hideout.
