11 years of marrage

Reuben and I celebrated our 11th anniversary this weekend. David and Debbie watched the boys so we could have a night out alone. We went to a restaurant we've never tried before. I had an almond crusted talapia and Reuben had a seafood plater. Then we went to a movie. After the movie we went back to the Felsheim's to pick up the boys. They were in their PJ's laying on the couch. We scooped them up and headed home.

It was so nice just to have the evening alone to talk and enjoy each others company. Reuben is so funny. I always have so much fun being with him.

Geo Trax

I love Geo Trax. I think I love them more than the boys do. They have been a great toy that has stood the test of time. Occasionally the boys and I drag out the buckets of track and build. This time I was a little bit controlling. Usually I let them add to the track and help build it. This time I wanted them out of my way. Logan stayed to help pass track pieces to me. When I get to build the track with a little more thought I can make it so it's not just one big loop. I wish we had a basement to really spread out. We built this track in our three season room.

Bubble Makers

I heard the boys laughing in the bathtub while I was busy trying to clean up the kitchen. I went in to check on them and found them making bubbles. They figured out how to make bubbles using the liquid bath gel. They pumped a lot into their hands, then rubbed their hands together and then blew.

Birthday Party!

Evan is SEVEN! Loagan will be FIVE!(on 2/8)
After the aquarium everyone came back to our house. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful loving family. The boys had a wonderful birthday surrounded by the people who love them. Thanks everyone for making their day special.

Newport Aquarium

Our family met us down at the Aquarium Saturday afternoon. The aquarium was incredibly busy. The kids enjoyed seeing the fish. We also got to see a very large alligator there. We walked through a "rain forest" that had some birds. Of course someone had to get pooped on and that someone was Logan. All the kids got to pet the sharks. The boys then eached picked out a souvenir. Logan got a fishing pole game and Evan chose a shark stuffed animal.

The Fishermen

Great-grandpa and Evan enjoyed spending some time organizing all the fishing gear. They moved some of it from the box great-grandpa made to Evan's tackle box. Great-grandpa taught Evan and Logan the name of some of the lures and hooks. Evan can't wait until he can go fishing out at the farm this spring.

Birthday Fun

Saturday, February 5th was Evan's birthday. We had a big day planned to celebrate Evan and Logan's birthday. It began with great-grandma and great-grandpa Baur coming over to give the boys their presents. Logan got a caterpillar game and Evan got fishing gear from great-grandpa. Great-grandpa had gone through his fishing gear to select pieces to give to Evan. He purchased a box and made dividers to separate the items inside. Great-grandpa has enjoyed watching Evan develop a love for fishing.






Mom and dad also came over to visit in the morning. Dad had to work second shift so he wanted to give the boys their presents also.

This isn't a great picture, but it's grandpa trying to figure out how to transform the transformer. ;)

January 20th snow day

We have already had 5 snow days this winter. On this day it snowed all day long. I shoveled the driveway 3 times during the day. The boys played with the kids in the circle. Evan also helped me shovel the driveway.
