Coney Island 2011

We went to Coney Island on Friday. It was a nice cool and cloudy day. Usually we go swimming in the Sunlight Pool but it wasn't good swimming weather. The kids road a few rides and then we had lunch with Grandma Davis' company picnic. Three of the kids got their faces painted and they had toys for all the kids. After lunch we spent the afternoon riding rides. Cami seemed most adventurous. But with each ride she screamed a little harder. Eventually she was done with the "big" rides. All of the kids including me liked riding the two "drop" rides. Aunt Jacque and Papa had to ride the ones that went in circles with the kids. One of the rides we had to ask the kid running it to stop the ride to get Logan and Cami off. They looked like they were screaming a crying because they were so scared.



All the kids got their face painted except Evan.




Evan wanted to ride in a canoo so badly. He just loves being near the water.


Logan told Cami to close her eyes and stay calm.






All the kids loved the Frog Hopper ride.

Last Baseball Game

Saturday, June 25th was Evan's last baseball game. It was one of their best games of the season. By the end of the season we were down to just 7 players. Last Monday we had two players from the opposing team play for us. I think that they really enjoyed playing this last game of the season.

A Beautiful Day to Golf

We have had the most beautiful weather over the last couple of days. Reuben came home from work and said that we should all go golfing. I have never actually been on a golf course. I've only hit balls at the driving range.

So we took the boys and went to Meadow Links, a Par 3 course. Reuben and Evan played the course. Reuben and I helped Logan a few times to feel part of the game. Logan and I mostly enjoyed driving the golf cart around, handing Evan his clubs, and taking pictures. It was such a nice evening we just enjoyed being outside and doing something together as a family.

Breakfast...yum

Everyone knows that I don't like to cook. I'm not even adventurous when it comes to what I eat either. But my favorite things to make/cook are breakfast items. My boys are big breakfast eaters. Evan's appetite is always the best first thing in the morning.
So this morning I made french toast sticks. Both boys cleaned their plates.
