Green eyeshadow

I've been playing with new makeup lately. I got an eyeshadow primer and eyeliner pencil from Urban Decay. The primer really keeps my eye makeup looking perfect all day long. The eyeliner pencil is very creamy and easy to glide on. It is also water proof. I posted a couple of pictures of me wearing green eyeshadow. And of course if the boys see a camera, they have to get in on the action.

Spring fever

I just had to change my background. The other one was pretty but just too dark.

YouTube videos

I feel like I have been sick FOREVER. One thing that has help me keep my sanity while laying in bed is YouTube videos. I've been watching makeup tutorials. There are a few people that I love to watch kandeejohnson, juicystar07, MakeupGeekTV, MichellePhan, pixiwoo, and MakeupByTiffany. Apparently I don't know much about top brand makeup. Mac seems to be the product line for makeup artists. These girls give great tips and tricks for applying makeup.

Last month at RS we had a class on makeup. A lady in our ward did a makeover and tutorial using some Mac products. This has totally put me in the mood to be a little more adventurous with my makeup. I personally like Bare Escentials makeup. A couple of weeks ago the girls in the family and I went to the mall and stopped in to check out the BE boutique. I had a lady do a really beautiful blue eye on me. It was great because she did one eye and then told me how to do it and I applied the other eye. I also got two new brushes. Now I am much more into using brushes. When I was a teenage I used the foam applicator that came with the package. What was I thinking? You have so much more control and ability to blend with a good brush.

I want to thank my mom for having the sense to take me to a makeup counter and teach me how to apply makeup when I was young. There is tones of information on the web to teach you good techniques. There is no excuse for bad makeup anymore. I guess some people just don't know their makeup is bad. That's where loved ones come in.

2 Snow Days

We've had two snow days in a row. The boys and I are beginning to have cabin fever. Once the snow finally stoped falling today I let the boys go outside to play. Of course it didn't last long before we were all too cold to play any longer.

Birthday boys

The boys had a wonderful day. They celebrated their birthdays with their friends at the bowling alley. The kids ate cup cakes and opened presents. Evan got the game Connect Four, a toy motorcycle, and army men. Logan got Flippin' Frogs, Buzz Light Year and a book. After bowling we returned home. We had both grandparents over for pizza and cake . G & G Laney gave the boys a Nerf gun and a Lightning McQueen GeoTrax set. Reuben and I gave the boys books, Hot Wheels sets, transformer cars, and clothes. The boys didn't even want to touch the bags that had the clothes in them. Evan and Logan got to blow out more candles on a delicious chocolate cake. By the end of the evening the boys were ready for bed. I read a story to each of them and then they both pasted out. They both said that was the best birthday party ever. Happy 6th birthday Evan! Happy 4th birthday Logan!

Welcome Back From Iraq!

Today was a special day for all of us. My dad returned home from Iraq. My mother wanted to make his return home memorable. We rode to the airport in a limo. Once at the airport we hung up a couple of signs and each of the kids had a balloon. When dad came up the escalator he was greeted by the whole family. Dad had a bear for each of the kids that said camp Kalsu on the bear's T-shirt. Then we headed to Montgomery Inn on the river. We had a wonderful lunch and the kids enjoyed sitting river side. Once we arrived home, we enjoyed listening to Dad's stories. He talked about his favorite parts of serving in Iraq and also some of the scary parts. We are definitely glad he is home safe now. Before we left, Evan had one more surprise for grandpa. Evan and his kindergarten class wrote welcome home letters to give to him. Grandpa loved reading each and every one. He said to give Miss. Henderson's class a big THANK YOU!

Logan's sick day

I am home with Logan today. He has a stomach virus. He is doing better this afternoon now that he isn't puking anymore. It's a good thing I didn't let him sleep in my bed last night like he wanted to. I've been doing lots of laundry and disinfecting everything today.
