The Fishermen

Great-grandpa and Evan enjoyed spending some time organizing all the fishing gear. They moved some of it from the box great-grandpa made to Evan's tackle box. Great-grandpa taught Evan and Logan the name of some of the lures and hooks. Evan can't wait until he can go fishing out at the farm this spring.

Birthday Fun

Saturday, February 5th was Evan's birthday. We had a big day planned to celebrate Evan and Logan's birthday. It began with great-grandma and great-grandpa Baur coming over to give the boys their presents. Logan got a caterpillar game and Evan got fishing gear from great-grandpa. Great-grandpa had gone through his fishing gear to select pieces to give to Evan. He purchased a box and made dividers to separate the items inside. Great-grandpa has enjoyed watching Evan develop a love for fishing.

Mom and dad also came over to visit in the morning. Dad had to work second shift so he wanted to give the boys their presents also.

This isn't a great picture, but it's grandpa trying to figure out how to transform the transformer. ;)

January 20th snow day

We have already had 5 snow days this winter. On this day it snowed all day long. I shoveled the driveway 3 times during the day. The boys played with the kids in the circle. Evan also helped me shovel the driveway.

Christmas Morning at Home

I handed my camera to Reuben and told him to take pictures. Of course he didn't listen to me. He used the video mode on my camera. So here's all I have from our Christmas morning. Poor quality video and it's short due to limited space on my memory card.

The boys had a wonderful Christmas. They got a Nintindo DS, Paper Jamz guitar and drum set, and nurf bow and arrows. Evan got his very own tackle box with all kinds of fishing supplies inside. Logan got a bucket of Lincoln Logs.

(oh well, I can't get the video to upload)

Laney Family Christmas

I have to thank my Grandparents and my parents for making Christmas wonderful this year. We feel very blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Evan was telling Great-Grandpa how he helped pick out peanuts without salt.

Logan was quite content to sit and play on his new Nintendo DS.

Santa

Evan was so excited to get an Air Hogs Helicopter.

Logan was telling Santa what he really wanted for Christmas. He told him that he really wanted a mummy. Last year before Halloween he bought a rubber mummy that he played with forever. Eventually it broke and had to be thrown away. When he made out his Christmas list he asked for another mummy.
